“Middle America” by Netherfriends
Another one I just discovered (thanks Connor!), Netherfriends set out to do one of those huge songwriting goals—writing a song in every state—sort of like Sufjan Stevens’ attempt to write an album for every state and Into It. Over It.’s 52 songs in 52 weeks. I really like this album. I kind of think it’s reminiscent of Jeremy Messersmith’s “The Silver City” in sound.
